Mobile experience delivers full sports fan experience with live game audio and full student experience with log-in for courses and grades

BOULDER, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The University of Texas and SportsLabs, a leading digital sports technology company, announced today the launch of the official University of Texas mobile application. Available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Market for Android, the new application is a first for the collegiate market as it delivers content and information for not only sports fans, but for students and campus visitors as well. Fully equipped with location based alert capabilities, including geo-fencing and beacon technology, the app will be active at Texas’ first football game on September 4.

The new Texas application offers rich content and features for students, campus visitors and Longhorn fans, including:
- Personalized course schedules, grades, and other student information through the MyUT portal
- Student access to university account balances and on-campus Bevo Bucks
- Deep campus and Austin event calendars (speakers, concerts, etc.)
- Listing, hours of operation, and stop information for bus routes on and around campus
- Live schedules, scores and team information for all Texas Sports
- Live social media content from Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for every sport and every UT school
- Live audio for sports games (football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, rowing, softball)

Location based alerts will allow for targeted engagement on campus, around Austin, and at both home and away Longhorn games. The University of Texas at Austin mobile application will leverage technology and capabilities that are unmatched at most universities.
